Down the shore

Despite the earthquake and the hurricane evacuation, this was one of the most enjoyable vacation weeks I can recall. Over all, the weather was good. Our rental was 3 blocks from the beach. Uncle Jimmy came for the week and Uncle Jonathan came for three days. And Aaron was really good most of the time. There was, on average, one meltdown a day, but they usually resolved quickly. Aaron informed me several times that I am not the boss of him. He was corrected, but still seems delusional about this issue.

Caveat about the pictures- I forgot my camera and all of this year's pictures are from the cell phone.

This was Aaron this time last year:

He looks like such a baby compared to this year!!

Luckily, he still naps every day. Around 2pm, he was down for the count, in the house or on the beach:

Waking up Uncle Jon:

The best parts of every day were on the beach, though, whether hanging out with us or with his friends. The other kids were so sweet to him, including him in running bases (no tagging anyone under 5 years old), digging holes, and wiffle ball. He actually didn't care if he was tagged out, as long as he got to be near 8 year old Aidan (far left in photo), his hero.

More beach pictures:

The second best part of every day was getting ice cream after dinner. Or should I say, wearing it.
