One of our two checked bags did not make it here with us. Our connection in Seoul gave us very little time to run from one terminal to the next and I guess our suitcase couldn't run fast enough. Kind of funny to think that I can outrun anything. The people at the airport in HCMC were very nice and know where my bag is. They are going to deliver it to the hotel today. While we were filling out the missing bag information, two young men behind the lost and found desk asked us for help with their English grammar study program. We were able to get the answers correctly, but in a few cases, we could not explain WHY the language does what it does. Then again, what kind of foreign language program uses "The Daughters of the Revolution is/are a very old organization"? The airport employees called me "miss lovell", but Mike was "native speaker".
Peter from Mandala (not his given name) met us at the airport and hailed a cab for us. It took him 20 minutes to convince one of those crazy drivers to pick us up, so I'm glad we weren't doing it on our own. He helped us check in and then left. We will be picked up tomorrow morning (tuesday) at 8am to meet Aaron and have our Giving & Receiving (G&R) ceremony. And then we will be parents. Scary!!
From the looks of it, we will be very sweaty parents. It is unbelievably hot and humid here, even early in the morning. How charming it will be for Aaron to have his mommy drip on him. It is going to be a bad hair week for me.
By the way, the English language daily Viet Nam News features a front page story from Pekasie, PA. I don't care about Pennsyltucky when I'm in New Jersey, much less HCMC.
I will post pictures later today. Love to all!

Sounds like the challenge tomorrow will be to stay cool and "cool".
